Danielle Marie Austin

Danielle Marie Austin of Tallahassee, FL, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother-to-be, and friend, passed away on August 2, 2024. Born in and raised in Cairo, GA, Danielle moved to Tallahassee to raise her children and build a life that touched many hearts. She established a successful career in business. She worked for HCA Healthcare for many years, and most recently found a cherished work family at the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council. Danielle’s life was characterized by fierce love and a spirit of adventure. She had a remarkable ability to improve everything she encountered. Her passions included softball and tennis during her school years, and she cherished college football season, never missing a UGA game. Danielle was known for her culinary skills, especially her famous cream cheese pound cakes, and loved cooking and baking for those she cared about. Her happiest moments were spent traveling, particularly to the beach with her children, whom she adored beyond measure. Her capacity for love extended well beyond her immediate family. Danielle was a passionate advocate for vulnerable children, providing a safe-haven for over 50 foster children and mentoring young adults. Her warmth and kindness were felt by everyone she met; she had an incredible ability to make people feel seen and loved. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, generous heart, and her fondness for Chick-fil-A, Mountain Dew. She is survived by her parents, Debra Gore (Patrick) and Edward Harrison (Sandra); her daughters, Natalie Brooke Walden (and unborn grandchild), and Alayah Nicole Austin; and her sons, Abbott Archer Austin and Colton Turner Austin. She is also survived by her sisters, Alaina Grace Gore, Jaliyah Faith Gore, Brianna Hope Gore, and Chasity Crum (Danny); and numerous friends who cherished her as family. Danielle was preceded in death by her grandparents Turner and Mavis Harrison, her grandmother Mildred Lawrence, and her uncles Curtis Dorman, Marty Dorman, Mack Harrison, and her aunt Debra Prince.
