Jerry L. Isenhour, Sr., USAF (Ret.)

On Sunday, February 12, 2017, SMSgt., USAF (Ret.), Jerry L. Isenhour, Sr., 80, saw the beautiful face of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was met by waiting and welcoming family: his parents, George and Lucille, his brothers, Donald and Richard, his sister, Ricky Taylor, his baby daughter, Lauren Renee and his grandson, Tyler Isenhour. He will be sorely missed by his wife of almost 51 years, Nanette; their children, Jerry, Jr., Deborah Crutchfield (Gary), Rhonda Isenhour and Steven (Paige); their grandchildren, Jaimy Gennero (Jacob), Jason Crutchfield, Joshua Morrow (Verlana), Jennifer Miller, Stephen Crutchfield, Angela Holcomb (Daniel), Jennifer Zalascek (Jaimy), Sarah Denardi (Ricky), Libby Isenhour, Heidi Isenhour; their 11 great grand- children; his sisters, Barbara Hunsucker, Carol Floyd, Delores Baker; his sister-in-law, Corinne Flanigan and her husband, Gary; and many nieces and nephews. During his 28 years of military service he excelled and received many awards. While serving in the majority of his tours, he was fortunate to be accompanied by his family with whom to experience varied cultures. Their travels afforded them many lifelong out of town friends. Thank you to Richard and Joan Nallick; Gib and Pat Harter; and Rusty Love for your prayers, calls, cards, pictures from the past and visits. While not a native of Tallahassee, he and Nanette located there in 1991 and opened Chuck E. Cheese Pizza. They had the good fortune to move where they gained many wonderful and caring friends. The many acts of kindness by their neighbors and loving members of their Bradfordville First Baptist Church family afforded Nanette the privilege of caring for Jerry at home with the loving assistance of Big Bend Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Bradfordville First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jerry Isenhour, Sr. to Bradfordville First Baptist Church, 6524 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312 or Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308. To Dr. Ronny and Angie Raines, our special friends Dane and Nancy Clemons, Sunday School class members and leaders Lark and Marie Daughtry, our church family, and tireless, compassionate neighbors, we are forever grateful for your prayers, errands, cards, visits, calls and kindness.
