Mark Robert Clow

Mark Robert Clow, peacefully passed away at Big Bend Hospice on February 6th, 2024, at the age of 56 after an intense battle with pancreatic cancer. Mark was born September 24, 1967, in Rochester, NY. After graduating from Penfield High School, he entered the United States Army and served from 1985 to 1989 as an Army Ranger. He moved to Tallahassee in 1996 to attend Florida State University. This is where he entered the Catholic faith and soon after met the love of his life, Allison. During this time, Mark developed a love for scripture, especially the Old Testament. Mark and Allison married on March 4, 2000, at the Co-Cathedral of St Thomas More. They were blessed with five beautiful children, Abigail (20), Daniel (19), twins, Michael and Matthew (16) and Christopher (14). Mark earned his undergraduate degree in Religion in December 2007. Besides his wife and children, his passion and love was teaching the Catholic faith. He spoke about the faith to everyone he met. He worked in various roles at Trinity Catholic School for over ten years. He spent the last year of his life courageously fighting pancreatic cancer. He did not let his illness effect his deep faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. No one who spent time with him was untouched by his humility, strength and perseverance. He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Clow (Pryor). Mark is survived by his beloved wife Allison Clow (Perow) and his five loving children, Abigail, Daniel, Michael, Matthew and Christopher along with his father Robert Leland Clow of Elkton, Florida. Mark’s life and example of redemptive suffering will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More, Tallahassee on Friday, February 16th at 10am with a rosary to begin at 9:30 am. Mark will be interred at the Tallahassee National Cemetery on Friday, February 16th at 2pm. Kelly Barber of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the Clow family with their arrangements (850-385-2193 owww.bevisfh.com) At the end of his life, Mark was not afraid of death for himself, but only that he would leave his family unprovided for. It was his expressed desire that the overwhelming generosity of others that accompanied him and his family over the last few years would continue with his family into the future.
