Aubrey Dennis Hill

Aubrey Dennis Hill I, 65, of Panama City, FL passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 in Panama City, FL at Bay Medical Center with his prize possession, a friend, by his side. Born in Cleveland, Boliver Co., MS , Aug. 26, 1953, he was the son of the Aubrey and Bobbye (Clapp)Hill. He grew up in Cordova, TN with his parents, 4 brothers, his favorite saddle horse Mighty Mouse and champion quarter horse Doc. He was a painter by trade, showcasing his workmanship in many a custom home as a self-employed owner of McHill Painting and Decorating. While living in Aiken, SC he joined the Painters Local Union where he served as Union Steward for many years, then managed large industrial jobs for a private company in New Jersey. After relocating with his family to Bristol, FL he drove a truck and dispatched drivers for his brother-in-law at McCoy Trucking; he was later employed as a supervisor at Eastern Marine Shipyard. He loved fishing, hunting, was a big Nascar fan, and enjoyed motorsports racing of all types. Most importantly, he had a good heart. He has housed and employed the homeless, visited the sick, shared abundantly of his means with those in need, quietly lifting others and lightening their burdens without judgment. He showed love and compassion to the down trodden, the fatherless, the weak and infirmed, giving of himself, his time, and his talents wherever he saw a need. He loved his family. Dearly. He is preceded in death by both parents, a brother Terry Hill, Grandfather Walter Hill, and Grandmother Iva Meyers (aka Granny Grunt). Survivors include his 8 children, Angela Haber of New Orleans, LA, Jennifer (Charles) Walton of Franklin, TN, Aubrey Hill II of Pensacola, FL, Lori (Matt) Newcomer of Pace, FL, Mabrey (Jessica) Hill of Telogia, FL, Wesley Hill of Blountstown, FL, Dame` Hill of Pensacola, FL and Casey (Hailey) Hill of Bristol, FL; 13 grandchildren, Jake (Kayla) Marlar and John Ives “Jack” Marlar, Aubrey D. Hill III and Branson Hill, Landin Burkett, Lincoln, Macy, and Avery Newcomer , Mabrey Dale Hill, Presley and Abel Hill, Rommie and Hayden Hill, 1 great-granddaughter Olivia Marlar, his brothers Darryl, Kevin (Mary), and Kenneth Hill. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. ET at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bristol, FL. Memorialization is by cremation. The family will privately scatter his ashes at Hopkins Landing on Lake Talquin following the service.
