Bradley Allen Sherman

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Bradley Allen Sherman, who left us way too soon on March 17, 2025, at the age of 43. He was a loving and supportive husband, cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. Brad was born on May 18, 1981, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. At the age of five, he moved with his parents and two older brothers to Whitesboro, Texas, where they lived for two years before moving to Lakeland, Florida. He was a cross-country runner and graduated from George Jenkins High School before moving to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. During college, Brad worked at, “You Know Where – Barnacle Bill’s on North Monroe,” where he built lifelong friendships and met his wife, Toni. His strong work ethic was evident in everything he did, leading him to a career where he could connect with people and pursue his passion for real estate while also working for Nextran. Many would describe him as selfless. He loved helping others and it wasn’t just something he did – it was one of his greatest strengths and a core part of who he was. He treated everyone as equal and had an innate ability to make people feel valued. He never met a stranger, and his generosity knew no bounds—he was even known to take the homeless to FSU football games so that they could experience the joy he loved so much. Brad was known for his kind heart and wit. For someone who was a man of few words, he always had a story to tell, and “thanks to the internet,” he became an ordained minister and used his talent of storytelling to share the meaningful stories of others. Whether it was problem-solving, sharing a story, or proving his remarkable memory for phone numbers, he always left an impression. He had a sharp mind and a love for competition—never backing down from a challenge. Brad found true happiness in the simple joys of life—spending time on the river, visiting the family farm in West Virginia, riding dirt bikes, and being surrounded by family and close friends. Brad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Helen Sherman Sr., and Aunt, Bonnie Degner. He is survived by his loving wife, Toni Stone Sherman, his parents, Robert and Helen Sherman, and his brothers, Brandon (Tracey) and Brent (Trisha) Sherman. He also leaves behind his Aunt Jane, nieces, Kelsey, Riley, Casey, and Esti. Grandparents, Dick and Betty Sheets, along with the extended Sheets family of West Virginia. Additionally, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Lita Tillman; father-in-law, Ricky (Christi) Stone; and sister-in-law, Laura Lee Stone (Trey). Brad’s life was a gift, and his legacy of kindness, hard work, and unwavering loyalty will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Road in Tallahassee. The family will be having a celebration of Brad’s life at Summers Smokehouse, 9330 W. Tennessee Street, following the service to honor the incredible man he was.
