Brenda Faye Clenney

Ms. Brenda Faye Clenney passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Crawfordville on Saturday March 5th, 2016. She was 60 years old. After years of chronic pain & various illnesses, Ms. Clenney has finally found her strength at Home with the Lord. She was born in Bainbridge, Ga. the 4th of 8 children to Elzie & Martha Ann Clenney and had made the area of Wakulla County her home since her parents moved to Tallahassee in 1972. Her kindness to people and her devotion and love for all animals is a tribute to the beauty of her heart and colorful soul. Her humor and presence will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She was a loving Friend, Daughter, Sister, Mother & Grandmother. Her 5 grandchildren were the light of her life. In addition to Grandma, she was also known as "GG", "Grams", "Grammy", " G-maw" & "Dammaw". Surviving Ms. Clenney are her 2 daughters; Joni Clenney Rei (Mike) and Lela Hall Jacobs (Shawn); Grandchildren: Gabe, Kaileigh & Breeana Rei, twins Aiden & Liam Jacobs; Siblings; Barbara Ann Zorn (Winston), Marlene Childers, Frankie Clenney, Cindy Miller & Amy Shiver (Clark); Sisters from other Misters; Dana Hodges Helton & Dawn Housser. Last but certainly not least, her companions for the past 15 years, her 2 fur-babies; Sweet-T & Boo Buddy. Preceding her in death are her parents, Elzie & Martha Ann Clenney ; brothers Robert & Steve Clenney. A Memorial Ceremony will be held at the Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge, GA on Saturday, March 19th at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to extend an invitation to all who wish to join them for a late lunch at Ricky's Steakhouse in Bainbridge immediately following the ceremony. Also, we have requested that attendees respectively wear tie dyed t-shirts & blue jeans to the ceremony in honor of our mom. Those of you who knew her well will know how tie dye relates to mom's personality. She was a child of the 70's; an old school hippie who was oh so young at heart. Find peace in knowing that she has finally ridden away on her mysterious camel into a magnificent new world full of glorious new adventures.
