Elizabeth Lauren Butler

Elizabeth Lauren Butler passed away on May 24, 2013 in Tallahassee, Florida. Elizabeth was born on January 10, 1990 in Panama City, Florida. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Gadsden County and later resided in Leon County. Elizabeth graduated in 2008 from North Florida Christian High School in Tallahassee. Her senior year, her fellow classmates voted her “Most Friendly” which well represents her personality and the saying associated with her, “she never met a stranger.” Elizabeth attended Tallahassee Community College after graduation, but during her time there discovered that child care was a huge passion of hers. Elizabeth felt joy when surrounded by children and found happiness in caring for them. Elizabeth’s passion not only included children, she found great joy in being with her "pups". Even at 4’10, the size of her heart knew no limits when helping any and all in need. Her love of music formed her into being a free spirit and her smile would light up the room and brought joy to any situation. Elizabeth touched many lives and her family invites you to attend her visitation and memorial service. Elizabeth’s visitation will take place at Bevis Funeral Home (2710 N Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32303) on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church (3004 Mahan Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32308). The Family welcomes friends whose life Liz touched to share stories during the memorial service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth’s honor to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, www.jdrfnorthflorida.org. Elizabeth is survived by many close friends and her beloved family, Mother Andrea Leuschner (Guy), Father Jonathan Butler (Frances), sisters Brittany Butler and Lawson Paul, and beloved "Keith-Daddy" Keith Paul all of Tallahassee, Grandparents Patricia Allen of Quincy and Kenny Allen of Chattahoochee, and the late Claude and Betty Butler of Havana, Quinton and Jeanette Paul of Quincy, and special Uncle Y.J. Allen (the late Dolores "Lorsie") of Chattatahhoochee. Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193, www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the family with their arrangements.
