Gino Reinhardt

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Gino Reinhardt announces his passing on March 15, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born August 31, 1962, in San José, Costa Rica, Gino leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family, adventure, and craftsmanship. He was a longtime resident of Tallahassee, Florida. At a young age, Gino moved with his family to Panama in 1964, where he was raised in the Panama Canal Zone. His father worked for the Panama Canal Commission, and it was there that Gino developed his lifelong love for the outdoors, community, and exploration. He graduated from high school in the Canal Zone in 1982 and continued his education at Panama Canal College and Florida State University. Gino became a certified licensed optician and spent many years serving others through his work at The Hourglass, Visionworks, Walmart, and Wawa where he was known for his warm personality and easygoing nature. Gino had a vibrant spirit and a gift for bringing joy to those around him. He was humorous and quick-witted, often making others laugh with his sharp sense of humor. He truly cherished time spent with friends and family, creating memories filled with laughter and connection. In his younger years, Gino embraced adventure. He enjoyed surfing, football, scuba diving, Cayuco racing, and traveling. He was also an aquarium enthusiast and a talented woodworker. His love for nature and discovering new places remained a constant throughout his life. Above all, Gino’s greatest pride and joy was his son, Dennis. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to being a loving and supportive father, whether it was coaching Dennis’s baseball team or simply being present in his life. Their bond was the center of Gino’s world. Gino was preceded in death by his brother Giovanni, his father Erich, and his grandparents, Fernando and Rosie. He is survived by his beloved son Dennis; his mother Jeannette; and his sisters, Eileen, Janice, and Erika; and brother in laws Tony and Chuck. He was a beloved Uncle to Robert, Arianna, Emily, and Andrew and a friend to many. Gino will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his humor, and most of all, the deep love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A memorial service for Gino will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Rd. Tallahassee, FL 32303. The family will receive friends following the service. In honoring Gino’s vibrant spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of others, the family kindly asks that guests refrain from wearing traditional black attire. Instead, all who attend are encouraged to wear bright, colorful clothing as a reflection of celebration, love, and the light Gino shared with everyone around him.
