Dr. Gunasegaran Chelliah

Dr. Gunasegaran Chelliah, BVSc, MS, was born in Penang, Malaysia on September 24, 1963. He was educated in India and got his BVSc degree from Madras Veterinary College in Madras, India. After working for some time in Malaysia, he came to the United States for his higher education. He earned his Masters degree from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He was pursuing a PhD degree from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University at Tallahassee, Florida. He was an honest, kind, and compassionate human being. His kindness and jovial nature makes people to feel good. His sudden demise at the age of 53 is a great shock for all of us. May his soul rest in peace. He is survived by his wife, Saishree Muthuswamy, 2 children, Saiprassad Gunasegaran and Saikrishnapriya Gunasegaran, and three brothers: Virachami Chelliah, his wife, Saroja Devi and their children: Krishnan Virachami and family, Moganadas Virachami and family, and Lalithaa Virachami and family. Moganasundram Chelliah, his wife, Selvi and their children: Sentilkumar Moganasundram and family, and Gayathiree Moganasundram and family. Santhira Segaran Chelliah, his wife, Rajeswari and their children Gobinathan Santhira Segaran, Kasthuri Santhira Segaran and Thinakaran Santhira Segaran. The public viewing and memorial service will be held at Bevis Funeral Home and Crematory, 2710 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303 on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral Services with Hindu rites will also be held at Bevis Funeral Home and Crematory, 2710 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303 on Thursday, February 2, 2017 starting at 10:30 AM which will be followed by the burial at Tallahassee Memorial Gardens, 4037 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
