Jeraldine Vivan Willis-Beck, 93, of Crawfordville, FL, surrounded by her family, stepped into glory after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease on May 31, 2024 in Carrabelle, Florida. A native of Tampa, Florida she was born on May 17, 1931 and subsequently adopted by Carl Douglas Pedrick and Marie Moye Pedrick. She lived most of her life in Tallahassee where she attended school at Leon High. Jeraldine was known for her signature style of bright colors, headbands, red lipstick and her cheerful laughter. She was committed to her faith as a Christian and enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and singing in the choir at church. She was happy to spread the gospel to everyone, and often would leave notes with bible verses to encourage others in their faith. She worked in insurance sales for a number of years, but her greatest accomplishment was raising her four children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Jeraldine is preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Lloyd “Billy” Willis and Fredrick A. Beck, Jr.; and 2 sons, Douglas L. Willis and Charles E. “Chuck” Willis. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki L. Ward of Tallahassee and Terri D. Ward (Stanley) of Crawfordville.; two grandsons, H.L. “Scooter” Ward, Jr. (Amy) of Freeport, FL and Stanley E. “Stan” Ward, Jr. (Ashley) of Crawfordville; two granddaughters, Pamela W. Self (Jayson) of Freeport, FL and Gina W. Fort (Casey) of Crawfordville and 6 great grandchildren, Seth Ward, Easton Ward, Finley Ward, Scout Self, Jase Self, and Sam Self. The family will be receiving guests for a visitation at Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee on June 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Children’s Home, 7771 Mahan Dr., Tallahassee, FL 32317. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Arabella Health & Wellness facility in Carrabelle, Florida for their devoted care of our beloved mother/grandmother.
