In Loving Memory of Kenneth Cecil McBride October 4, 1964 – July 21, 2026 Kenneth Cecil McBride, affectionately known as “Kenny,” passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at the age of 61, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 4, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York, Kenny was the beloved son of Daisy Peddle Reese and the late Thomas F. McBride. Kenny will be remembered for his strength, resilience, love of music, and, above all, the love and devotion he gave to his family. He had a generous heart and never hesitated to love those he called his own. His greatest joy was the family he helped build, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, laughter, and countless memories that will be cherished forever. For more than 35 years, Kenny shared an extraordinary life with the love of his life, his devoted wife, Sonya. Together, they weathered life’s storms, celebrated its blessings, and built a family founded on unconditional love. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. McBride; his brother, Thomas McBride; and his beloved daughter, Shelby McBride. He is survived by his loving wife, Sonya; his mother, Daisy Peddle Reese; his sisters: Debra Beauford (Billy) and Christine Hunter (John); his brothers: Michael McBride (Lynn) and Shawn McBride; his sister-in-law, Sandy McBride, widow of Thomas McBride; and his children: Jennifer McCormack (David), Joshua McBride (Kalie), Stephanie Wooten, and Richard Hager, whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends who were blessed to know and love him. Although cancer took Kenny far too soon, it never took his spirit, his faith, or the love he shared so freely. We find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and has gone to be with the Lord. His memory will live on in every story told, every song played, every laugh remembered, and every life he touched.
