Linda Jean (Bianchini) Dixon

Linda Jean (Bianchini) Dixon, 67, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on June 5, 2023 at 7:05 PM at her home in Mount Dora, FL. On that day, the world lost one of the most wonderful mothers, daughters, wives, sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces, friends, veterans, employees, retirees and Christians that any of us have ever had the blessing of encountering or being related to. She was born on September 3, 1955 at 9:27 PM C.S.T. in Chicago, Illinois to parents Henry Bianchini and Geraldine Ann (Roubik) Bianchini. For twenty-two years, Linda dedicated herself to wonderfully managing her regional office at the Florida Parole Commission. Prior to this, she worked at Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon Florida, and prior to that, for the Hillsborough County court system. Linda also proudly served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged. She called Brandon Florida her home for 28 years. Then in 2018 Linda relocated to Mount Dora, a place she fell in love with and where she happily lived out the rest of her days. Linda is remembered for her compassion and her undeniable love for Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her sons, giving to charity, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, Mr. Bean, going to the movies, going to the shooting range, antique shopping, flea markets, HomeGoods, dancing, traveling, fighting for God's will and most of all, spending time in God’s word. She planned to visit Italy, South Africa and Israel over the next few years, and to buy an RV to travel and live around the United States for the remainder of her golden years. She is preceded in death by her mother Geraldine Bianchini, and her father, Henry Bianchini. She is survived by her sons, Lorenzo Dixon, Jr. and Matthew Dixon; the father of her sons Lorenzo Dixon, Sr.; her sister Kathy Elder with husband Scott Elder, her sister Peggy Zywica with husband Bob Zywica, her brother Jeffrey Bianchini with wife Juanita Bianchini; her nieces Cassandra Bianchini, Rebekah Walton & Sarah Clark; her nephews Jeffrey Bianchini Jr. & Jeffrey Zywica, as well as a host of extended family members who will miss her dearly. The family will be receiving guests for a visitation at Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. to be immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. There will be a gathering in celebration of her life following the service at Northside Community Center in Room 102A.
