Lucy Maner Link

LINK, Lucy Maner, age 66, formerly of Tallahassee, who loved to be called “momma” by her sons, daughters, and grandchildren departed her family and went home to God on Friday, September 9, 2022. Lucy was a cherished member of the Tallahassee community, born and raised locally as a 7th generation Tallahassee mother of five and avid Southern Baptist in attendance of the Tallahassee Biker Church. Chances are, you have encountered her wonderful smile and sense of humor if you attended North Florida Christian in 1974 where she graduated high school, Tallahassee Community College for her associates, or if you have ever needed automotive repairs at Maner’s garage, a local business owned for decades by her parents. She loved to fish and travel, often caught on her favorite mode of three-wheeled transportation, her dark blue Can Am Spyder. Lucy was a former co-owner of Link’s plumbing and served in several medical practices in the local area to include The Children’s Clinic and Family Dermatology of North Florida. Lucy was loved by all and is preceded in life by her mother, Ellen “Reba” Maner, her father William “Bill” Maner, and her son Michael Link. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, George; daughter, Rebecca Wiggins and her husband, Jordan; daughters, Casey and Courtney; son, Taylor; 5 grandchildren, Adriana, Cecily, Lauralye, Hayden, and Lilly; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Canopy Roads Baptist Church, 925 Bannerman Rd, with pastor Matthew Hall officiating. A reception will follow immediately and is open to all in attendance. The family would like to express our thanks to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for going above and beyond to keep Lucy with us as long as possible.
