Mark Edward Campbell

On March 14, 2024, Mark Edward Campbell left his earthly home to join his Lord and Savior and many loved ones in Heaven. Mark was born on January 27,1965 in Panama City, Florida to the late Polly Paul Campbell and William Gerald Campbell. Mark was a collector of Hot Wheels, driftwood, and souvenir rocks. He was a gentle giant who delighted in family, friends, and all of God’s creation. Mark was a conversational wizard who never met a stranger. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and was present with anyone God placed in his path. If you ever had the pleasure of conversing with Mark you knew how much you were loved, treasured, and valued as a child of God. If your day was tough, he always knew how to provide comfort and a steady word of encouragement to see you through any situation. Mark was a doting husband and father who enjoyed attending his children’s gymnastics meets, sporting events, field trips, friend’s birthday parties, and numerous celebrations. Yearly, Mark enjoyed beach trips with his family and extended family; creating memories by the sea which will always be remembered and treasured by all. In this fast-paced world, Mark had the unique ability to be still and drown out the background noise to focus on what matters most: people. Although Mark dealt with near constant physical pain, he used this thorn to draw closer to the Father, providing an example of perseverance and trust to his wife and children. Always seeking to glorify God, he remained positive and steadfast when dealing with adversity or trials of various kinds. In his last days, he remained dedicated to his faith and family, joyfully interacting with a fun-loving demeanor and expectant for what the Lord had in store next. As we mourn our loss on earth, we have no doubt that Mark uniting with Jesus was a glorious occasion. Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord. -Matthew 25:23 Dad’s Christmas Prayer submitted by Paige: “Thank you God for the laughter and the loudness.” Mark is survived by his wife of 21 years, Claramae Campbell, his children Paige Carmen Jem (20), Stryder, James (18), Callissa (Calli) Kezia (16), Keren Noel (14), Xander Paul (12), and Asher Liam (10). A service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at North Florida Baptist Church. Visitation will take place at 10am and the celebration of life will immediately follow at 11am.
