Robin Cheryl Heisinger Lewand

Robin Cheryl Heisinger Lewand, 58, of Havana, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born August 13, 1963, in Tallahassee, Florida, the daughter of Nancy Harrison Trautman and Leigh A. Heisinger. Robin grew up in Tallahassee and graduated from New Bern High School, New Bern, NC with Highest Honors in 1981. Robin spent much of her childhood and early adulthood performing throughout the United States and Europe as a skilled aerialist in an act founded by her parents, The Sensational Leighs. She then began a career in the residential cleaning business, eventually starting her own successful company. Robin married the love of her life, Dalton Lewand, in December 2010. She and Dalton shared a love of the outdoors and spent as much time as possible fishing, boating, and beach-going in her favorite spot, St. George Island. She loved gathering with family over meals and a good fish fry. Robin had a life-long passion for animals, sharing a love for many pets during her life. She recently enjoyed time with her beloved dogs, Dodger, Brooklyn, the late Buddy; and her parrot, Ocho. Preceded in death by stepfather Robert “Bob” Trautman; Grandparents George Harrison and Jewell Baxter Harrison, Frederick Heisinger and Lucie Lyons Heisinger. She is survived by husband, Dalton Lewand of Havana, FL; mother, Nancy Harrison Trautman of Tallahassee, FL; father, Leigh (Celestial) Heisinger of Havana, FL; mother-in-law, Carolyn Jenkins Lewand of Tallahassee, FL; father-in-law, Charles J. Lewand of Kingston, TN; Aunts and Uncles, Gwen Harrison of Tallahassee, FL, Gerry Fix of Colleyville, TX, George Michael Harrison of Crawfordville, FL, Henry E. Harrison of Orlando, FL; her bonus “Jenkins” family: Reverends Margaret (Arlen) Swinger, Jon (Helen) Jenkins, Joe (Aimee) Jenkins; and many additional extended family and friends. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Susie Mozolic of Bevis Funeral Home. A celebration of life service has been planned for Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303, with Reverend Arlen Swinger officiating.
