Robyn Lynn Scott

Robyn Lynn Scott, long-time resident of Crawfordville, FL died peacefully in her sleep on May 12, 2020, at the young age of 58. She was born January 10, 1962 at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Native of Florida she loved the ocean and was a “Pirate” at heart. She loved Rainy days, the beauty of sunsets, yellow roses, and sunflowers. She was a woman of Christian faith, partner in life, mother, grandmother and to so many a friend. Robyn had an unquenchable zest for life. She was always a “people person,” enjoying the company of others greeting friends and strangers a like with her infectious smile, big personality, kind and compassionate spirit. She was the “Life of the Party” at every event. There was never a boring moment, she could turn a bad day into the best day EVER, any day!!! Robyn was an amazing mother, teacher, and inspiration to her two children Kodie and Tyson, but she loved being a grandma even more. She was devoted to her three grandchildren Andrew, Layla and Kadence. She had a magic touch in creativity and shared her gift with each of them. From making jewelry to painting and her famous emoji breakfast, there was always an art project going on at grandma’s house. The love she shared with her grandchildren is priceless and the memories they made together are irreplaceable. Robyn lived her life to the fullest. She always said, “It’s not the years in your life that count but it’s the life in your years.” The quote she lived by was “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up totally worn out and screaming….Damn, What a Ride!!!.” Robyn was preceded in death by her mother Diann Raymond, and her father MSgt. Robert “Bob” Doughty. She is survived by her life partner James B. Hawkins, daughter Kodie L. Nix, son-in-law James R. Nix “Richie,” son Tyson L. Scott, her three grandchildren Andrew P. Nix, Layla A. Scott, and Kadence R. Nix, her step-father Andre Raymond, brother and sister-in-law Andre and Pam Raymond, her aunt Linda Ostrowsky Williams, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Real Church, Promise Land Ministries, 3167 Coastal Highway, Crawfordville, FL 32327, at 2 p.m. ET. Live stream of the service will be available. We encourage those attending in person to take necessary personal safety measures. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Gulf Cemetery, S Co Hwy 393 Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459, at 10 a.m. CT.
