Susan Lenette Marsh-Johnson, known affectionately as Susie-Q, passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on May 17, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska, she spent her recent years living in Tallahassee, Florida, where she created a loving home filled with warmth and joy. Susan was a firecracker with a big heart, known for her unwavering strength and tenacity. A devoted wife to her husband, Danny “Boone” Preston Johnson, for the past 50 years, Susan cherished her role as a mother to her daughters, Melisa and Ashley. She instilled in them the values of resilience and self-belief, guiding them through life's challenges with her sharp mind and nurturing spirit. She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Kayla, Dylan, Jonah, and Drake, who brought immense joy to her life. A passionate gardener, Susan loved spending time outdoors, whether it was tending to her plants, fishing, or bird watching. Her culinary skills shone through in her cooking and baking, with ribeye steak, crab legs, and chocolate milk among her favorite treats. A fan of classic rock and country music, she found joy in a variety of musical genres. Susan's adventurous spirit led her to enjoy travel and outdoor activities, and her ability to navigate the mud like a pro made her a beloved figure in her community. She was known for her selflessness, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. An active member of Aenon Baptist Church, she contributed to the community through her charitable work, including her long-standing involvement with the Tree of Life organization. Her defining motto, "Life is a blessing, live, laugh, and love one another," resonated deeply with all who knew her. Susan's legacy of love, strength, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Danny, her daughters, Melisa and Ashley, and her beloved grandchildren, Kayla, Dylan, Jonah, and Drake as well as her brother Steven Marsh. Susan Lenette Marsh-Johnson will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
