Tamela Sewell Williamson Tamela Sewell Williamson, 'Tami', age 51, of Thomasville, GA, passed away on September 7, 2014 in Tallahassee, FL, with family and friends close by her side. Tami was born in Gainesville, FL, to John Sewell and Betty Sewell. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty, in May, 2014. She spent her childhood in Tallahassee with brother Tiger and was married to David Williamson on June 22, 2002 at her beloved St. George Island, FL. As a graduate of Florida State University with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance, Tami pursued her finance career in New York and Tennessee. With a love for fitness, Tami enjoyed competing in body building contests and won the title of 'Miss Atlanta 1993'. After falling in love with David, she returned to Tallahassee where she opened a Pilates studio and became a personal trainer. Most recently, Tami was dedicated in her employment with Prime Meridian Bank as Assistant Controller. Tami’s charitable heart found her annually gathering donations for needy families. Tami and David found their church home at The Gathering in Thomasville, GA. She was vivacious, outgoing, multi talented, and always accomplished what she set out to do. She loved and was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Tami is survived by her husband David Williamson, father John Sewell (Marianne), brother Tiger Sewell (Denise), stepson John Williamson and nephew Cody Sewell, sister-in-law’s Beth Dyal (Steve) and Anne Marie Frazee (Chapin), nephew Stephen Dyal (Devan), niece Ramsey Bunton (Michael), nephew Wyatt Frazee and niece Copeland Frazee and great niece Anna Dyal, mother-in-law, Anne Williamson Vinson. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to all the family and friends who have sustained them with prayers, love and support, as well as the TMH Neurology nurses and doctors who cared for Tami as well as the family. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11 o’clock in the morning at The Gathering Church, 2738 East Pinetree Blvd, Thomasville, Ga. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to: TMH Foundation 1331 East Sixth Avenue, Tallahassee, FL. 32303 / Designate to Neuroscience for stroke victims and their families.
