Teresa Renee Odom

Teresa Renee' Odom age 60 and fabulous went to be with the Lord on November 11 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL surrounded by her husband Steve, daughter Misty and her husband Patrick. Teresa Renee' Johnson was born on January 28, 1961 in Blountstown, Florida She married her high school sweetheart Steve Odom and three years later her life-long dream came true a daughter Misty was born. She devoted the next ten years to being the most loving mother and wife we could ever asked for. She spent all her extra time with family especially her sister Lisa, mother Virginia and her Granny Gladys. She later went on to work for several years teaching speech to mentally handicap adults at LCIF where she met her best friend, Karen Dudley. She later found her final home teaching preschoolers for the next twenty years, she shined in the Special needs room. If you weren't getting love at home or maybe you were the underdog that is who she would take under her wing and nurture a little extra. She absolutely loved children and touched so many lives she made countless close friendships. She loved to shop, listen to music and most of all dancing. She was always dressed to impress with perfect hair and make-up she was an absolute beauty inside and out and loved anything leopard print. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ronnie and Virginia Pitts and her biological father, James Johnson. Renee` is survived by her husband, Steve Odom, a daughter, Misty and her husband, Patrick Ramsey, her pride and joy, grandchildren, Swayde and Carter Ramsey, her sister Lisa Hobby and her husband, Collis Hobby Jr. and her mother-in-law, Martha Jacobs. She was Aunt Nae Nae to Brandon Pitts, Kayla and Josh Godwin, Cody Chepa, Cephus and Casey Greene, Brianna and Alaya Jacobs. She also had a host of aunts, uncles and cousins that she loved dearly. She also had close friends that were family as well and her best friends, Karen Dudley and Mrs. Barbara Brinson; a host of aunts, uncles, couins, great neices and nephews and other loving family members. A celebration honoring her life will be on November 18 2021 at 4:00 pm EST at Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol, Fl. Bevis funeral home in Bristol is taking care of Renee' and her arrangements. The family asks for anyone who loved Renee' any life she touched to feel welcome to come celebrate her life, plants and flowers are certainly welcomed but not required and if anyone would like to donate in her honor, we ask that you donate to Gold Star Academy that specializes in special needs children.
