Yvonne Gartman Hutto

Yvonne Gartman Hutto, 86, of Tallahassee, Florida, entered her eternal home on January 7, 2025. A devoted wife of 36 years to the late Doyle Hutto, Yvonne will be forever cherished and remembered by her daughters, Pamela Hutto and Angela Ulmer (Stewart); her grandchildren, Cierra O’Callaghan (Payton O’Callaghan) and Sawyer Ulmer (Isabell Keller); and her great-grandchildren, Ryker O’Callaghan. A lifelong Floridian, Yvonne was born in Panama City, Florida. After graduating from Bay High School, she moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. A proud Seminole, she earned her degree in accounting and began her career at the Auditor General’s Office, where she met her future husband, Doyle. She later joined the Florida Department of Revenue, where she dedicated the majority of her remarkable 42-year professional career. Yvonne’s love for FSU endured throughout her life. She was an active alumna and an enthusiastic supporter of the university. Her involvement spanned numerous organizations, including her Tri Sigma sorority, the Extra Point Club, the Quarterback Club, the Golden Chiefs, the Champions Club, the Bowden Society, the Bullpen Club, and booster groups for FSU women's softball and soccer. Her Seminole spirit ran deep, and she embraced the university community with passion and pride. A woman of deep faith, Yvonne was a longtime member of East Hill Baptist Church, where she nurtured enduring friendships and served faithfully. Her love for community was evident through her active roles in Springtime Tallahassee, the Women's Club, and her volunteer work at the Moore Athletic Center and the FSU Alumni Center, where she served as a docent. Yvonne had a gift for friendship and a heart for giving. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle strength were a blessing to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to inspire her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched. Yvonne will be missed more than words can express.
