Betty Jean Clark

Betty Jean King Clark, born on April 12, 1941, in Tallahassee, Florida, peacefully departed this life on June 11, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and light touched everyone she met. Betty was married to Wade Clark, her devoted husband, born on April 28, 1934. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared countless memories. Betty and Wade raised three children. She is survived by her son Kenneth (two children: Cameron and Dan), and two daughters, Brenda (three children: Brian, Tigran, and Ashley) and Linda (four children: John, Leeann, Danellie, and David). In total, Betty was blessed with seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and cherished deeply. Betty was a vibrant and spirited woman with many passions. She loved dining at her favorite buffet, lovingly referred to as "Pick and Choose," where she could enjoy her favorite foods. She also had a special love for fishing, often accompanied by her husband. Betty had a knack for calling alligators with her "grunt call," which always added excitement and laughter to their fishing adventures. She always caught many more fish than him. A fashion icon in her own right, Betty loved to dress up in perfectly matching outfits, always completing her look with the perfect hat and shoes. Her attention to detail and style left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Above all, Betty loved children, and they loved her in return. Her warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit made her a beloved figure in her family and community. Betty leaves behind her devoted husband, Wade, her two daughters, one son, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her. Betty Jean Clark lived a life full of love, laughter, and joy. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were blessed to have her in their lives. Funeral services for Betty will be held at 12:00 PM, EST, Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Bevis Funeral Home Chapel, 200 John Knox Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303. The burial will be at 2:00 PM, at Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32311.
