    Charles Richard "Chuck" Allen

    October 25, 1969 - January 31, 2022

Charles Richard Allen, 52, of Thomasville GA, passed away on January 31st, 2022, unexpectedly of natural causes. Chuck was born on October 25th, 1969, to Charles Guyton Allen and Betty Allen (Nelson) in Macon, GA. After graduating from Dublin High in 1988, he attended Armstrong State College in Savannah. Chuck worked in the timber industry, and became an entrepreneur, eventually founding his own company, Timberland Southern. It suited him well since he liked spending time outdoors and traveled extensively throughout the state of Georgia that he loved. Chuck met the love of his life, Jennifer Blair Owen, and they were married March 24th of 2007 in Thomasville, GA. They were blessed with their only child, Jacqueline Blair Allen, in 2010. She quickly became the focus of his life as a proud and dedicated father. He is survived by his wife Jennifer (Owen) Allen; their daughter, Blair Allen of Thomasville; his mother, Betty Nelson and Cliff Nelson of Macon; his father, Charles Allen and Dianne Allen of Dublin; and his two brothers, Brad Allen of Savannah, and Chris Nelson of Athens. There will be a celebration of life memorial service held at Sugar Hill Barn (1251 Highway 319 S Thomasville, GA) on February 12th, 2022, at 2:00 PM. ***Sugar Hill Barn sits about 2 miles south of the main Pebble Hill Plantation entrance. For those visitors using GPS, please be advised; since Pebble Hill covers many acres utilizing the same address, your device will tell you well before the main gate that you have arrived at your destination. Please look for the main gate sign, which is visible from Highway 319. There are also signs along the highway located within a mile of the main gate-both north and south-which will help guide you to our location. If for any reason you have problems finding the barn, please don't hesitate to call the venue at 229-226-2344 for further directions.*** The family requests your attendance and prayers in lieu of flowers. For those that have inquired, his daughter Blair has a 529 education fund, and you may contact Paul Sheets (State Farm of Gray) for donation information. Susie Mozolic of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting the family with their arrangements. (850-385-2193 www.bevisfh.com)
