Cynthia Ruth Chapman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Cynthia R. Chapman, 71, of Tallahassee passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her home. She is survived by her son Matt Lafollette, also of Tallahassee. A private service will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee, with the Rev’d Michael Shockley officiating. Cynthia was a native and lifelong resident of Tallahassee, and a proud graduate of Leon High School, Class of 1967. She was also a graduate of Tallahassee State College and Florida State University, where she received her degree in Elementary Education. For many years she was a communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church and more recently an enthusiastic member of Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church. Cynthia was retired from the State Library of Florida. Other survivors include her brother David B. Chapman and his wife Diane of Tallahassee; and two nephews, Patrick Chapman (Mandy) of Tallahassee and Brian Chapman of Olympia, WA. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold E.
