Daniel Phillips Hendrix

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Daniel Phillips Hendrix, who left us on January 14, 2025, at the age of 40. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend, whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A gentle, sweet soul is how many described him. Daniel was born on May 1,1984, in Sellersville, PA and was known for his sense of humor and wit. His smile was pure joy. He had a passion for music, both live and recorded. Daniel would share songs with his family and friends that touched him. He loved to cook and enjoyed sharing delicious food with people he loved at great diners, drive-ins and dives. His father will always remember the luscious lobster roll he prepared from a whole, live Maine lobster on Father’s Day not too long ago. He had a passion for Florida State sports, especially football, a true “all-weather” fan. His love for these things was only rivalled by his deep love for his family, friends and colleagues. Daniel was an Analyst Coordinator for 11 years with the Florida Clerks of the Court Association. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and a host of extended family members, friends and colleagues. He is survived by his father, Tim Hendrix, stepmother, Dena Strickland Hendrix, sister Kelly Hendrix Reese, brother-in-law, John Reese, brother David Hendrix, sister-in-law Meghan C. Hendrix, nieces, Kaia and Ayla Hendrix (who adored their Uncle Daniel) and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Suzanne Connor Hendrix, his grandparents, L.D. and Helen Hendrix and Edward and Louise Connor, and his aunt, Janie Connor. Though his time on earth was far too short, his spirit, his laughter, and the love he gave to others will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Friday, February 7th at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Road in Tallahassee. We are comforted to know that Daniel is now at peace, reunited with his dear mother and those who went on before him, watching over us with love. His memory will live on in the stories we share and in the love he gave so freely. Rest in peace, dear Daniel.
