Guy "Bob" Robert Thompson

September 7, 1951 - May 5, 2022

Guy Robert (Bob) Thompson, 70 of Miami, Florida passed away on Thursday, May 5th, 2022. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jean Thompson. He is survived by his brother Terrance Thompson and sister Toni Behr. Bob graduated from college with a degree in Film and Media. He served in the Navy for 8 years as a sonar and radar technician and had tours of duty in Europe and the Pacific. Bob is a longtime resident of Tallahassee, FL and member of Generations Church. Bob was very active in all parts of church life and ministry. Bob served as a van driver for Generations Church for many years bringing underprivileged children and youth to church. He served on our Street Hope team, a ministry to the homeless providing over 100 meals every month. Bob was also actively apart of our senior adult ministry and loved his connect group who became like family to him. Bob was kind and compassionate and always willing to lend a hand when needed. Every time the church doors were open, Bob was there serving his church family. Bob will always be remembered as someone who loved Jesus and cared for others. A visitation will be held at Generations Church of Tallahassee on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with a service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. A committal ceremony will be held at Tallahassee National Cemetery on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice: https://bigbendhospice.charityproud.org/Donate Breanna Green of Bevis Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
