Joshua Jerren Joseph Douin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joshua Jerren Joseph Douin, 19, passed peacefully on May 1, 2016. He lived his life with no regrets and never met a stranger. Josh was born a bundle of energy on November 19, 1996 in New Port Richey, Florida. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Kathleen Douin, brothers, Robert (Alyssa) and James, and his sister Kurstin. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Mary Wilbur, paternal great-grandmother Florence Kline, maternal grandfather Freddie Blankenship, paternal grandfather Joseph Douin, a niece Harper Douin, and many, many uncles, aunts and cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his grandmother Elizabeth Blankenship and great grandfather Huck Kline. Josh was a loving son and brother and was devoted to his family. He will be forever missed. Josh was loved by everyone who knew him and his infectious laugh and smile lit up every room. He was employed by the City of Tallahassee. A 2015 Wakulla High School graduate, he was Homecoming King, a varsity wrestler, a Dramatis Personae star in several productions, voted Most Flirtatious and an avid high school football fan. Friday nights would find him 'painted up' in the stands with fellow animals cheering on his beloved War Eagles. He was an active member of the Crawfordville United Methodist Church Youth. Josh loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Funeral arrangements are being handled by David Conn and Amber Miller of Bevis Funeral Home, Harvey-Young Chapel. Visitation is Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6-8pm at Lake Ellen Baptist Church. Funeral service is Friday, May 6, 2016 at 3pm, also at Lake Ellen Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kathleen Douin for Wakulla High School Drama Club, c/o FSU Credit Union, account number 57044. Donations will be used to create a college scholarship for Wakulla High Dramatis Personae students. He lived his creed, Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: For the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." "Bye, Love You".
