Randy Joseph Kaven

January 30, 1954 - August 26, 2021

Randy Joseph Kaven, 67 of Tallahassee, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care Center. He is survived by his wife Erin Brown Kaven, also of Tallahassee. A native of Detroit, Randy originally moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University before receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Nova University and a Master’s in Human Resource Management from St. Thomas University. Randy spent his professional career as a human resource specialist with the State of Florida. He is also survived by his two children, Mary Katherine Kaven and Sean Michael Kaven, both of Tallahassee. A Memorial Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Thursday, September 2nd at 10:30 AM (EDT). A reception for family and friends will follow in the lower level of the church. Gifts in memory of Randy may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 4665 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
