Raymond Laney Pace Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Raymond L. Pace, age 90, died peacefully at home in Brandon on October 10th. Raymond served in the US Navy from 1948 -1953 aboard the USS Salem. He then went on to work for Texas Instruments (in Texas) before returning to Tallahassee to work for IBM. He retired from IBM and went to work for an Auto parts delivery service, Hertz and Avis Rental Cars. Raymond enjoyed working on things. Anything, including (but not limited to) cars, appliances, radios, televisions and watches. He had quite a collection! He also enjoyed growing things (especially peppers and flowers) and meeting people and helping them. He never met a stranger and would stop and help anyone in need. Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 1/2 years, Edna Merle Barineau Pace, his son, Ray and his two sisters, Helen and Dorothy. Survivors include his children, Susan and Bill Fogarty of Brandon and Ronnie and Pam Pace of Tallahassee as well as five grandchildren Ryan Pace, Mary Kathryn Fogarty and Joshua Finkelstein, Katelyn Pace and Will Fogarty. He is also survived by his four brothers, Donald and Rosie Pace, Lonnie Pace, Robert and Connie Pace, Jimmy and Susie Pace, as well as his sister-in-law, Faye Barineau Hooks and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday October 16 at Bevis Funeral Home, burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
