Zachary Boyd Gregg

Zachary Boyd Gregg, age 32, passed away on October 7, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on January 15, 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland where he spent the first ten years of his life before moving to Tallahassee, Florida. Zac’s biggest source of happiness was nature – especially his job in tree service which allowed him to climb to the highest of heights to see all that he was passionate about. He also loved swimming in sinkholes, fishing, and simply being outdoors. Zac was also very athletic and enjoyed outdoor sports including soccer, football, lacrosse and golfing. At one time, Zac was even PGA certified and working at Summerbrooke Golf Course. Most of all, Zac loved animals. You could often find him saving a deer, squirrel or alligator or spending time with his dog and four cats. Survivors include his mother, Leslie Christine Gregg-Barker and step-father John David Barker; step-brother Ridge Barker; grandparents Barbara Gregg and Donald Boyd Gregg; aunts and uncles Bryan Donald Gregg, Duncan “Mike” Gregg, Beverly Dodd, Dwight Dodd, Bruce Nolte, Sr., Mike Mitchell and Judy Mitchell; cousins Madison Gregg, Aidan Gregg, Bayly Gregg, Christopher Gregg, Patrick Gregg, Nathan Gregg, Mandi Hoffman, Casey Evans, Kristi Worthington, Kerri Powell and Bruce Nolte, Jr. as well as a host of extended family members and friends who will remember Zac as being the life of the party with the biggest heart. Zac is now reunited with his aunt, Brenda Mitchell Nolte as well as his great-grandparents Harry Gregg, Irene Gregg, Dovel Mitchell and Jane Mitchell. The family will be receiving guests for a visitation at Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Breanna Green of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the family with their arrangements.
