Barbara Ann Jones Campbell

Barbara Ann Jones Campbell left this life and body on earth to join her parents, Guy and Virginia Jones on June 10, 2017. Her husband Gregory Campbell was at her side in Ohio, which was her home for the past two years. Barbara was born on July 6, 1970 in Niceville, Florida. She moved to Tallahassee as an infant and was introduced to the Jones Family at nine months old. She was adopted by Guy, Virginia and siblings, Linda, Mike, and Ginny. Barbara attended local schools, graduating from Godby High School in 1988. She went on to attend TCC, FSU, and graduating from FAMU. After graduation she worked at Capital Regional Medical Center in the Medical Record Department for several years. Barbara was awarded Employee of the month in October 2003. Throughout her life Barbara’s Mom was by her side to encourage, support, and cheer her on with every grand accomplishment and triumph. Mom was the constant presence during her many health obstacles, getting her back up and living her life to the fullest possible. Growing up and living in Tallahassee for most of her life Barbara met and loved many friends. She was considered to be part of many extended families. Two and a half years ago Barbara met and fell in love with Gregory Campbell. She followed her heart to Pedro, Ohio to marry Greg. They shared many wonderful experiences crammed into that short time. Again, in her new home she developed an extended family in Ohio who loved and cherished her. Barbara never let obstacles prevent her from living a full life. She participated in all available events in elementary school through college. She worked at a job she enjoyed and with people who came to love her. Most recently raising chickens, rabbits, pigs, and adding cows to the farm. She always had a very soft heart for animals, dogs in particular. She adopted numerous dogs that became her children. Barbara leaves behind many loving family members to celebrate the wonderful life they shared. Husband Gregory Campbell; step-daughter Scarlett Campbell; step-son Isaac Stump; brother Mike Jones (Ruth); sisters Ginny Squires (Jerry) and Linda Brooks; niece Page Perkins; nephews - Guy Jones, Call Perkins, Wesley Squires, Randy Petron II (Melissa), Richard Petron Sr., and Robert Petron (Nicole); great nieces – Lyli Petron and Jaylin Petron; great nephews – Braxton Jones, Randy Petron III, Richie Petron II, Ryan Petron, and Jared Petron; and life-long friend Derrek Fears. Because of Barbara’s love of all animals, please make donations to any organization that cares for and offers a loving home for animals of any kind.
