Diane Marie Eyles

I was born on June 15, 1957, in Fitchburg, MA to my parents, James William Eyles and Marguerite Lorraine Pitre. I went home on February 7, 2024, to be with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My father retired after 20 years from the Coast Guard as a Chief Boatswain’s Mate and my mother was a Registered Nurse. Opportunities throughout my life allowed me to travel both domestically and internationally. I moved to Tallahassee, FL in 1994, where I have remained since. In 2002, I graduated from Flagler College with honors, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. During my life, I loved working and was employed in many different positions. The most rewarding work was working for two non-profit organizations, Consumer Credit Counseling and Goodwill Industries of The Big Bend. My work at Goodwill, as a Donation Acquisition Specialist, gave me tremendous joy to have the chance to make a real impact to improve people’s lives. I owe gratitude and am truly grateful to my coworkers, friends, and professional relationships made while working at Goodwill, many of whom assisted me on my journey home. Preceding me in death were my parents, grandparents, and my oldest sister, Kathleen L. Eyles. In November 2022, I unexpectedly lost my husband, Lyman Douglas Lemacks. I had the privilege of donating my kidney to my brother, Mark James Eyles, in August of 2005. He resides in Saco, Maine with his wife, Terry Eyles. To my coworkers at Goodwill, I am thankful for assisting me after the death of my husband. I also want to acknowledge the emotional support and steadfast loyalty I received from my precious brother, Mark. I have always enjoyed my dogs. A very special thank you to thank Dr. Matthew Wanous and Dr. Contessa Bowman who made it possible to care for my dogs - a blue Pitbull named Tiny, who I leave behind, as well as the six dogs that blessed my life and preceded me in death. A music scholarship has been established with Florida State University College of Music in honor of my husband, Lyman Douglas Lemacks. My husband, Doug and I will be interred at Roselawn Cemetery. There will be a graveside service at 2:00PM on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Kidney Foundation or becoming a living kidney donor. If you are a dog lover, please support the Good Karman Dog Project through Cumberland Animal Hospital in Havana, FL. If you want to change lives, donate your gently loved possessions to Goodwill Industries of The Big Bend.
