Helene Dagmar Reinshuttle

Helene Dagmar Reinshuttle (94) passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born on October 17, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of Walter Webb and Helen Gilespie. Later, Helen married Paul Quinn and Helene was adopted by Paul, she took the Quinn family name, embracing a new chapter in her life. Helene was a proud graduate of Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She dedicated much of her career to administrative and secretarial work at Blodgett Hospital, where her professionalism and dedication left a lasting impact. In 1951, Helene married the love of her life, Robert Henry Reinshuttle, and together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 1993. After retiring, Helene filled her days with her passions—singing, traveling, hosting her book club, and enjoying lively Bunko and hand-and-foot games. Above all, her greatest joy was being with her family, cherishing every moment when her three sons were together. Helene had a radiant spirit, a love for laughter, and an unyielding determination for life. She was the heart of every gathering, bringing warmth and joy to those around her. A devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, she sang in the choir and was a soloist for many years, sharing her beautiful voice with the congregation. She is survived by her loving sons Ken Reinshuttle (Ethel), Robert “Bob” Reinshuttle, and Stephen “Steve” Reinshuttle (Shelly); cherished grandchildren Austin Reinshuttle (Michelle), Stephanie Reinshuttle, Robert Reinshuttle, Lauren Reinshuttle, and Megan Reinshuttle; and adored great-grandchildren, Mason Reinshuttle and 2 others. She also leaves behind her dear sister Nina Quinn Wahl, along with a host of extended family members. Helene was predeceased by her parents and siblings John Quinn and Polly Quinn Plowman. Helene will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she will be reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida, honoring her compassionate and resilient spirit.
