Konrad John Bobinski Jr.

September 20, 1939 – July 16, 2026: Konrad John “Bo” Bobinski Jr., 86, passed peacefully on July 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Bo was a faithful and devoted Catholic who lived his Christian faith with humility, compassion, and quiet strength. Born on September 20, 1939, in Southampton, New York, Bo was raised in Stuart, Florida, where his character, work ethic, and lifelong friendships were formed. Bo graduated as salutatorian of the Martin County High School Class of 1956. A standout linebacker, he earned a football scholarship to Florida State University, where he proudly attended before answering the call to serve in the U.S. Air Force as a Morse code instructor and technician, proudly serving his country with honor. While stationed in Edinburgh, Scotland, he married his high school sweetheart, Wilma Glass, and together they began raising a family. They had two daughters, Barbara and Brenda, who remained the center of their lives. After serving in the Air Force, the family returned home to Stuart, FL, where Bo owned and operated Bo’s Gulf Stations. He was a humble contributor to the Martin County community, where he devoted countless hours to coaching Little League baseball, mentoring young athletes, and teaching lessons that extended far beyond the baseball field. Later in life, Bo married Lynn Chamblee, with whom he shared many happy years, and became beloved by her children, Lee and Marcus; their spouses, Nick and April; children Virginia, Samson, and Niko; and grandchildren Lily and Carmella. Together, Bo and Lynn enjoyed retirement in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee before eventually returning to Okeechobee, Florida. Following Lynn’s passing, Bo moved to Tallahassee to be closer to his daughters, Barbara and Brenda; son-in-law, Reggie; and 4 grandchildren, Connor, Haley, Allie, and Noah, who brought him immeasurable joy during his final years. If you knew Bo, you knew a gentleman. He was kind, humble, unfailingly polite, and never met a stranger. He believed deeply in personal responsibility and quietly reminded those he loved to simply “do the right thing.” Those four words became the guiding principle by which he lived his life and raised his family. An avid outdoorsman, Bo found joy in fishing, hunting, and spending time in community. He loved to cook for family and friends and rarely missed cheering on his beloved Florida athletes, the Seminoles, the Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Marlins. Some of his happiest moments were spent sharing those games with his grandson Noah and his sons-in-law, Reggie and Nick. Bo was blessed to spend his final days in the compassionate care of Big Bend Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family. COMMITTAL SERVICE HONORS Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10:00 at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. He will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife, Lynn.
