Mark Stafford

Mark Reginald Stafford, 64, passed away on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Donna Stafford. He was born on March 7, 1950, in Jacksonville, FL and was a lifelong resident of Wakulla County, FL. He attended high school in West Islip, N.Y. He was employed by St. Marks Powder for 20 years and owned several businesses during his lifetime, most recently Party Tents N More (Entrepreneur). Mark and Donna owned Party Tents N More for 14 years and met many friends. He is also survived by his Children: Mark Stafford and wife Shelly Stafford; Tracy Stafford Dempsey and husband Bubba; Jeffery Stafford and wife Jennifer Stafford; Grandchildren Preston, Logan and Nolan Stafford; Lauren, Jacob and Hannah Dempsey; Skylar, Mackenzie and Sydney Stafford; and Siblings: Carole Stafford Alexander (husband Kerry), Peter Stafford (wife Linda) and Jill Stafford. He is predeceased by his parents, Gene and Carolyn Stafford/ Mark had a huge personality and sense of humor. He met his wife Donna in 1973, married in 1974 and moved to Wakulla County. They raised their family here and stayed close to the community. Over the past few years they enjoyed spending time traveling and working together. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. His sons own their own business and his daughter is a teacher. He has a grandson who attends Johns Hopkins University studying Premed and plays football. He has 2 grandchildren who attend Tallahassee Community College and another grandson who is a chef at The Governors Club. His other grandchildren still attend high school. Marks ability to face life with humor was part of what makes him so special. His children will remember most how involved he was by attending out of state football games, travel baseball games, local volleyball games and numerous dance recitals. Mark never met a stranger and always ended a conversation with a story of his grandchildren and a chuckle. Family and friends gathered together for a memorial service on Saturday November 8, 2014 at Bevis Funeral Home.
