Patricia Lambert Mehr

Patricia Lambert Mehr, 65, passed away August 31st, 2017 in Tallahassee, Florida. She was the oldest of four children to James W. (Billy) Lambert and Barbara Lambert. She attended Sealy Elementary, Raa Middle School, and graduated from Leon High School in 1970. Patricia held several different jobs and was manager of Lambert supply store for 18 years. She then worked at Moore Bass Consulting, starting as a bookkeeper and advanced to being the personal assistant to Karen Bass, co-owner. She had been retired for 9 years spending that time enjoying her grandchildren, traveling and month long stays at Panama City Beach, where her door was always open for family and friends. Patricia is survived by her husband, Gary Mehr; her daughter, Kimberly Rooks; her two grandchildren, Taylor and Ethan Rooks; her parents James W. (Billy) and Barbara Lambert; her sister Deborah Higdon (Warren); her brother Jeffrey Lambert (Janet); her sister-in-law Rhonda Lambert and her son-in-law Robin Rooks. She is preceded in death by her brother Jimmy (Jimbo) Lambert and her nephew Billy Lambert. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to all of her family members and easily became close friends with everyone she met. Patricia’s family would like to sincerely thank all of her relatives and friends for their outpouring of love, support, and prayers. We would also like to thank everyone who shared in Patricia’s care at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, the Rehabilitation Center, the Cancer Center, and Big Bend Hospice, all of you are special people who have answered God’s calling. The family will be receive friends at Bevis Funeral Home, 2710 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee Florida, from 6-8pm on Monday, September 4th. The funeral service will be held at Bradfordville First Baptist Church, 6524 Thomasville road at 10am on Tuesday September 5th, interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Havana, Florida. The pallbearers will be Carlos Azula, Edward Bass, Patrick Cushing, William (Chip) Dew, Ricky Perkins and Kenny Sloan; and Robin Rooks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, Florida, 32308.
