Robert Bradford Moore

Robert Bradford Moore was born November 30, 1946, in Tallahassee, where he lived until his death on June 6, 2026. Robbie was born into one of Leon County’s pioneering families, and his family, friends and faith meant everything to him. After graduating from Leon High School and earning his associate’s degree, Robbie embarked on a long career at WCTV where he impressed with his steady, quiet diligence and where he made lifelong friendships. He was a faithful and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Tallahassee. He was loved by everyone who knew him and was the epitome of unassuming gentility – unfailingly polite, thoughtful, dependable and loyal. Robbie was also a great athlete and avid sports fan; occasionally, cracks in his genteel nature would manifest in his passionate encouragement of his beloved FSU Seminoles. Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo Munn Moore and W.T. Moore, Jr., his two older brothers, W. Taylor Moore, III and Edgar M. Moore, Sr., and his nephew, John C. Moore. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Moore; his nieces Debbie Carlisle (Steve), Angie Matthiessen (Britt), Fran Shaw (Frank), Katherine Reed (Chip); his nephew Murray Moore (Corbin); numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; innumerable, cousins, his extensive and loyal friend network and his First Baptist Church family. Robbie loved and appreciated all those care givers who were with him in the last few years including but not limited to everyone at A&W Companion, Angela Johnson, his health care providers, and the staff at the Gables, Big Bend Hospice and the Margaret Z. Dozier House at Big Bend Hospice. The funeral service for Robbie will take place on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, followed by a reception in the Welcome Center. A family graveside service will take place at Oakland Cemetery prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the Big Bend Hospice Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Tallahassee.
