Sheri Anne Herron

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Sheri Herron, of Bristol, FL, on January 24, 2026. Peacefully and surrounded by her family, she was called to heaven to our Lord’s loving arms. Sheri was known for her kind and caring spirit that left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Sheri had a radiance that lit up any room she entered and had a love for life that was contagious. She knew how to make every day unforgettable. Sheri’s parents, George and Ruth Harris, were both U.S. Navy veterans. Sheri was born in Kingsville, Texas while her father was stationed there serving our country. She inherited her deep sense of patriotism and love of her country from her parents. Other than the brief period in Kingsville and a year in Atlanta after high school, she enjoyed her life living in Florida. She grew up in the Jacksonville area where she attended college and started her career working as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. After a military marriage, to her now ex-husband, but still close friend, Joe Herron, the couple moved to Titusville and had two wonderful children, Kara and Nick. They enjoyed a fulfilling life raising their children and were blessed to develop many life-long friendships in the Titusville area. Sheri’s children were her ultimate passion, and she devoted herself to being the best mother possible. In recent years, Sheri took on the role as “Nana”, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. She dedicated her life to caring for her beloved grandchildren, Knox and Ansley, and enjoyed every moment spent with them. Sheri had a sincere love for animals, especially her own pets, and she leaves behind her beloved dog, Hallie. In Sheri’s leisure time, she loved nothing more than to host parties, volunteer time as “homeroom mom”, for her daughter Kara’s students and her grandchildren, and taking part in all her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. Sheri enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, chanting the “War Chant” for her favorite team, the Florida State Seminoles, singing karaoke and dancing like no one was watching, while enjoying a good glass of wine. Sheri had a vivacious and contagious personality and was no stranger to anyone she’d met. Sheri's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue within us. Her laughter, her love of life, and her ability to make everyone feel valued will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As we say goodbye to Sheri, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness, joy and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Sheri’s memory will be lovingly treasured forever. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Ruth Harris; her parents-in-law George and Donna Herron; and her brother-in-law Eldon Wirtz. She is survived by her ex-husband and dear friend, Joe; daughter Kara, husband Scotty and grandchildren Knox and Ansley, her son Nick; her brothers, Tim Harris and wife Sharon, Gary Harris and her sister Pat Harris; her sisters-in-law Maria Herron and Cathy Garcia; her nieces Christine, Becky, Kimberly and nephews Jason, Andrew and Jeremy. Our family is eternally grateful for the care she received at the Blountstown Health and Rehabilitation facility in Blountstown, FL and the wonderful and caring medical staff at VITAS Healthcare. We will celebrate Sheri’s life with her many family and friends in Bristol and in Titusville, FL with the location and time to be announced at a later date, please continue to check back for complete service information..
