Wade Carroll Clark

Wade Carroll Clark, born April 28, 1934, in Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. A devoted Baptist and member of the Bible Believers, Wade lived a life grounded in faith, family, and service. Wade proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to education, teaching others the complexities of missile construction. After retiring, he continued to share his knowledge and passion for history and science as a tour guide at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. A quiet and steadfast man, Wade was deeply respected by all who knew him. When he spoke, his words carried wisdom and meaning. He was a devoted father who ensured his children never went without and was always present in their lives. His strong Christian faith guided him, and he was admired for his character, strength, and love. In his later years, Wade faced the challenges of dementia with resilience. His beloved wife Betty cared for him devotedly until her health declined, after which his daughter Brenda lovingly welcomed him into her home. Brenda cherished every moment spent listening to his stories, finding joy and meaning even in the changes brought on by his illness. Even during this time, Wade’s personality and sense of humor continued to shine. He would sometimes insist they needed to get ready and hide because “the Indians were coming,” but not before asking for two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Brenda would lovingly go along with him, replying, “Okay, Dad,” and making sure he was comforted. These moments, though shaped by illness, brought smiles and became cherished memories of his enduring spirit. He is survived by his children: Linda Myszka, Brenda King, and Kenneth Clark. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Brian Freeman Metzger, Danielle Marie Eng, David Buck Eng III, Tigran John DerPaulian, Dan Greenblatt, Ashley Nicole Shields, John Douglas Clark, and Leslie Ann Stapler; as well as many great-grandchildren, too numerous to name, each of whom he loved dearly. Wade was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty, who remained a constant source of love and care throughout his life. From his children—Linda, Brenda, and Kenneth—Dad, we love you very much and thank you for everything. We will not say goodbye, only “see you later.” Wade will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, veteran, teacher, and man of faith whose legacy will live on in the lives he touched. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Bevis Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Tallahassee National Cemetery.
